It’s been a year since I started something new – a more deliberate chapter in my life, rooted in values I care deeply about: equity, curiosity, collaboration, and integrity.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working with some extraordinary people and institutions: from global research centres and national academies, to funders, professional bodies, and universities. Together, we’ve asked big questions about what fairer, more inclusive systems could look like, and started building the roadmaps to get there.
Some personal highlights include:
🌟 Shaping inclusive fellowship models
🛠️ Supporting EDI strategy and operational plans
📊 Building differential attainment frameworks
🎯 Designing new approaches to research culture, equity, leadership, and accountability
🤖 Exploring the role of AI in inclusive systems and data-driven equity
It’s been energising, stretching, and perspective-shifting, but above all, it’s reminded me why this work matters.
I’ve learned that impact doesn’t always come from being inside the system. Sometimes, it comes from being alongside it – with fresh eyes, lived experience, and a clear sense of purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s trusted me over the past year to help them with this important work and opened up spaces with such kindness and authenticity💜
It’s been a privilege to walk alongside you.
More soon, but for now gratitude and deep respect to all those doing the work 🙏🏽
